No, in the state of North Carolina, Medicaid will only allow Non-Emergency Medical Transportation through an approved carrier that has the contract with the State. We are a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation service. Medicare, Medicaid and Personal Insurance will not, in most cases, cover the cost of our services.
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and bank debit cards or cash. All payments are expected at time of transport. For clients that use us regularly we can bill monthly by invoice.
We run a very busy schedule during the day. Please try to give us at least 12 hour advance notice of requested transportation. At times of emergency we usually can fit you in our daily schedule if needed.
At time of hire all drivers are trained by the owner of the company, and a manager, to meet company standards of safety. They are trained on how to deal with clients that suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia. They are also trained to handle mental health issues. We take great pride in our transport drivers. They are dedicated men and women who love people and treat our clients with the highest professional care in the industry.
All Van Go Transportation drivers go through an extensive background check with the state of North Carolina as well as a 10 year background check. They must have an impeccable driving record and pass a drug test at time of hire.
Every year we update our records and have our drivers provide driving record and we also do random drug testing if needed.
